PUT TO THE TEST
Wouldn’t you say these are testing times? For some maybe more than others, but we are all facing hard trials. I searched the bible for the word “test” and I found the word “tried” instead.
But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. Job 23:10
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 1 Peter 1:7
I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. Revelations 3:
In school we have to study in order to pass the tests. When you fall behind it’s hard to catch up. You sometimes have to work twice as hard as others to pass the same exact test. Some pass, and some fail. The teacher is the same, the material to study is the same, but the students are not. We do not all learn the same. It’s like that in life sometimes too. Some apply themselves more than others. Some take more time to study than others. The lesson is the same. We all have the same questions on the test. There are other things to consider though. Life…some of the students come to class well fed, very prepared, and well rested…while others are not so fortunate. They may have been at work most of the day, went without sleep from staying up with the baby, or just sick that week. Remember to be nice to those who fall, or fail, because you never know when it might be you having the hard time. We all have times we are PUT TO THE TEST!!!
